welcome to my blog!

Hey everyone!

As I am heading off to Belgium soon, I thought it would be a cool idea to set up a platform for me to share my experiences, challenges and prayer points. I'm doing this for a couple of reasons:

1. To keep myself accountable as to why I am going on exchange.

I think it's important to remind myself that I live not for myself, but for Jesus Christ my Lord and Ruler. This exchange isn't to just 'let loose' or to 'find myself' - because I have found already found my identity and security in Jesus' death on the cross, and his adoption of me as his daughter. No matter where I am in the world, I want to live according to God's word and mission. I want to represent Him and tell people about Him. Keeping these goals open and public might be a good reminder for me to keep doing just that.

2. To share with others.

I see my life as an absolute blessing gifted by God. I want to be open and share with you all how God is working in my life, even if it's in ways that I don't particularly like or don't expect. Perhaps what I can share is relatable - and it helps to show that you aren't alone. Perhaps what I can share is encouraging, and perhaps what I can share brings you joy. For any of these reasons or more, I'd love for you to be a part of my life.

3. To stay connected through prayer.

I'm going to try share some prayer points over the course of this exchange (and maybe beyond), and I would so appreciate people to pray for me! Prayer is like a jewel - how amazing that we can entrust one another to our Lord even when we are halfway across the world.

I'm sure there are plenty more reasons, but for now I'll leave it there.

Let's keep in touch!

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
